In late 2019, Saudi Arabia introduced the electronic visa for 4 reasons for travel: tourism, events, visiting relatives or pilgrimage (Umrah only). This electronic visa is available for57 nationalities, including most Schengen Area countries, the USA, Canada and the UK. It allows stays of 1 to 90 days for 1 year (90 days maximum over 1 year).

Security The MFA is prohibiting travellers from visiting the localities of Mouawiya and Qatif. The border area in the provinces of Najran, d'Assir and Djizan is also prohibited. Unless there is a compelling reason to do so, we advise against visiting the Al Qassim regionover the entire border area with Iraq, the Yemen or in the area south-west of Riyadh.
